Two Months Into 2019

Well, here we are near the end of the second month of the year. Why does it feel like nothing has changed?

Actually, some things have changed.

My beard is longer…mostly because the hair clippers that I purchased over twenty years ago gave up the ghost the first time I trimmed said beard in December.

Since I use that same set of clippers to cut my hair that also means my hair is as long as it’s been in a couple of decades.

I really hope I can take advantage of this follicle fiasco to record a music video God gave me a vision for. Unfortunately the young woman I hoped to record the father/daughter song with backed out. So now I’m on the hunt for another fake daughter to sing with.

In the last verse the dad has late stage dementia and is pulled out of it when his girl sings that stanza. It’s extremely moving and requires me to have the look I’m growing into now.

I’m kinda liking the new/old look but have already felt the extra heat on the few warm days thus far this year. In other words I don’t know how long this long hair will last.

I’ll know I’m getting back on my feet financially when I can buy new clippers and a few other essentials…like new headlights for Clifford, the big red van.

Yeah, money woes are still a regular part of my existence. Some things never seem to change.

One thing that has changed is a recent closed publishing door. That one hurt but I know God has plans for what He’s given me to write and send out into the world. They are plans for hope and a future. It’s just that timing issue I struggle with.

I’ve never been a fan of winter…long dark nights with dormant plants.

Spring has always been my favorite season of the year…new growth with longer days and so much potential in store.

It’s coming but it’s not yet. Things will change in God’s time.

I have a feeling when things do change my world will never be the same.

Please pray for patience and wisdom on what to do next…if anything.

Until then I’ll keep on keeping on.

I’ll see you later. Wade

I'm a truck driver turned writer. My writing drives people to Jesus. I love sunsets/sunrises, dark chocolate, coffee, cats and dogs (as long as their owners pick up after them) and solitude. My relationship with God through Jesus Christ is most important to me, not a religion. This writing gig is all God's idea. I only wish to bring more attention to Jesus with it.
