We’d be nowhere without our moms
Our life begins inside her tum…my
She feeds us food and sings us songs
She lets us know that we belong
When we feel sick she holds us tight
Sometimes we keep her up all night
As we mature she tries to help us
Too oft we insist that we can do this
We’ll never know how many prayers
She sends to God to keep us safer
We tear her heart up when we’re bad
Our hearts break too when she is sad
She loves it when we bring our kids over
The laughter they share is great to recover
As mom becomes feeble it us who now pray
Please, God, don’t leave her like this everyday
Eventually God comes and takes her soul home
A piece of our heart is missing for now
Tears of grief will fall from our eyes
God understands and heals as we cry
Dear child be thankful for the mom that you’re given
With Jesus as savior we’ll meet up in heaven
