The blogging train has returned to the station and I’m climbing back on board. I’m smiling as I settle back in where I belong. I missed y’all. I hope you missed me, too.
This foray into full-time writing has been a bit of a ride, as I expected it to be. Of course I didn’t expect to drive to Michigan for my Mom’s funeral, but I did. I often wondered if I’d ever experience temperatures below zero. I did, both coming and going. It makes me appreciate Texas all the more.
It took a few days to figure out the Amazon software to self-publish my prayer ebooks. Once I did they came together nicely in just over a week. I sold seven copies so far and gave away over a hundred more. I also gained a new blog subscriber. Onward and upward from here.
If I ever figure out how to get my recording software to do what it’s supposed to do I plan on adding a Wednesday podcasting post here for y’all. Now don’t go getting all fearful on me. Podcasts won’t hurt ya’. You’ve survived my videos here, so just trust me.
Podcasts are merely an audio recording. I plan on recording myself reading my prayers and poems for your listening pleasure. If you honestly can’t stand them just let me know and I’ll cease and desist, unless you’re the only one who doesn’t appreciate them. If that’s the case you can just refuse to open my Wednesday email. So there.
I do plan on sending out a video next Monday since it’s the first Monday of the month. This one won’t have a humor theme to it. I plan on telling y’all what I believe. Now that folks are laying down their hard-earned money for my writing some of them will want to know where I stand on key issues. I plan on covering as much as possible. I don’t know how long it will be. Pray I can be clear and concise.
Fridays will remain the Biblical fiction based devotionals. I’ll pick back up on David’s life where we left off over a year ago. It’s the period when King Saul is trying to kill him. Yeah, he learned a lot of lessons from all that happened then and so will we.
My subscribers will be receiving a newsletter this Wednesday, no foolin’. I’ll give some prayer requests and further updates about my writing quests.
We’ll see if I still have a funny bone in a couple of weeks here for Funny Monday posts.
Yeah, it feels good for this Texan to be back in the blogging saddle. I know, they don’t have saddles on trains . I was hoping you didn’t notice the mixed metaphor. I guess my peeps are simply too smart for me.

Great to have you back, Wade. Missed your blogs. My heart hurts for you in the loss of your mom. I’ve lost both parents and it still hurts all these years later. My first book will be released in August and the other day I teared up, just wishing Mom could be here to be part of all this…daughter too.
But we press on, don’t we? As to the techie stuff, ahhh…don’t know about that. I’ll try, but no promises. Just keep blogging.

When our parents die we expect it because they’re older than us, but death still stings. The loss of a child has to be harder.
I was able to record a video dedication for the app with my Mom on Christmas morning. I can now view the two of us telling each other “I love you.” It will be on the app for all to see, too.
Congrats on the upcoming book. I’m sure it will inspire many.
